Author's note

Maximus Bold, by Neale Davidson, is a free heavy sans serif with broad proportions and a forceful, compact silhouette. Its squared joins and blunt endings are softened by rounded bowls.

Sports branding is its clearest fit, especially for team wordmarks and stadium signage that need a solid, immediate visual voice. The same dense weight also suits action-game interfaces and motorsport merchandise, linking these uses through a tough, engineered look.
