Author's note

MB-Back for Death by ModBlackmoon is a free eroded horror display font with harsh, ragged strokes and a distinctly handmade silhouette. Its pointed forms draw on blackletter, but the broken edges and scratchy deposits make the lettering look weathered, decayed, and unstable.

A horror film poster is its clearest setting, since the distressed surface already suggests damage and menace. It also fits metal merchandise, Halloween event graphics, and survival game artwork. In publishing, it could shape chapter openers or cover lines for dark fantasy and occult fiction, turning the type itself into part of the book's disturbing imagery.
