Author's note

Menhir by Logan Meckley of DTC Type Foundry is a free condensed sans serif with extremely tall proportions, broad vertical strokes, hairline-thin crossbars, and tight spacing that turns a line into a disciplined row of upright forms. Deep angular cuts interrupt several letters like joints in fabricated metal.

Photography of concrete towers, steel frameworks, and modernist interiors can echo the lettering's strong verticals, making it apt for architecture magazines, exhibition posters, and album covers while repeating their hard-edged geometry. For fashion labels and cultural venues, its slablike silhouette can become a recognizable visual branding device rather than ordinary display type.
