Author's note

Mervale Script, designed by Brian J. Bonislawsky of Astigmatic, is a free calligraphic script with sweeping, theatrical forms. Strong thick-thin contrast, tall looping capitals, sharp tapered points, and long rising and descending strokes give the noticeably narrow lettering a formal but lively profile.

It can turn a title into a graceful signature for wedding invitations, fashion branding, restaurant menus, and album covers. Formal celebrations are an especially natural setting. On invitations or fashion labels, the oversized loops can extend into ornamental borders and emblems, so the name becomes part of the artwork.
