Author's note

Metropolitan by Daniel Werneck is a free hand-drawn display font with a raw, angular silhouette and sharply changing stroke widths. Its uneven caps lean and flare in different directions, with cut edges that recall hand-painted punk lettering.

Underground music and DIY culture are its most convincing subjects, especially for gig posters and album artwork. Merchandise and skate graphics can use the same restless shapes as part of rough illustrated emblems. Concert posters are the font's clearest and most convincing use.
