Millhouse, by Dennis Ludlow, is a free slab serif with a bold wood-type spirit. The caps feel blocky and architectural, with broad square serifs, deep cut-in joins, and a sturdy rhythm that gives the letters a poster-era, storefront presence rather than a bookish one.
That makes this free font a natural pick for vintage branding, packaging, pub and cafe signage, event posters, and cover lines that need a blunt, old-fashioned voice.
