Author's note

MiszellMay by Manfred Klein is a free illustrated dingbat font built from eccentric figures, plants, faces, and skeletal forms. Each symbol has a loose pen-and-ink quality, with uneven contours and dense internal detail that recalls offbeat storybook marginalia.

As illustrated emblems, the characters can turn a poster or album cover into a small scene rather than simple lettering. They also suit fantasy game graphics and alternative merchandise, especially when the artwork leans comic, strange, or macabre. The mix of humor and unease suits fans of underground comics and fantasy.
