Author's note

Mocha Java by Type Pirate is a free rough brush display font built from blunt, uneven strokes. Its soft corners, lumpy edges, and shifting stroke widths give the letters the lively look of hand-painted marks, with irregular forms that stay recognizably simple.

A cafe package is an especially apt setting, since the scruffy contours recall hand-lettered menus and stamped labels, and the same directness suits gig posters and casual merchandise. In children's publishing, the shapes can become part of a drawn shop sign or playful emblem rather than serving only as neutral lettering.
