Moderna font by PJL is a free retro display font with tall, narrow letterforms, sharp wedge serifs, and a high-contrast rhythm that gives the strokes a carved, almost editorial quality. The rounded inner curves and pointed joins keep the face formal, but not stiff, with enough character to feel tied to older print styles.
Moderna works well for magazine titles, poster headers, album art, branding, and packaging that need a classic display voice with a strong serif profile. Its narrow shapes and crisp details also suit invitations, logo marks, and short signage where a distinctive headline style matters more than long-form text.
