Monats-Vignetten 1 is a free calendar dingbat font digitized by Dieter Steffmann from Franz Franke's month-themed drawings for the Bauersche Giesserei. The set centers on illustrated seasonal vignettes framed by ribbon captions, giving each symbol the feel of a small printed almanac panel rather than a neutral ornament.
It makes especially good sense in calendars, journal dividers, greeting cards, vintage ephemera, and themed packaging where a compact scene can do the work of both image and label.
