Monbijoux by Billy Argel is a free decorative display font with an eccentric, hand-drawn assortment of ornate capitals. Each letter follows its own design, mixing stripes, dots, curls, spikes, and carved-looking details. The uneven outlines recall antique fairground signs and illustrated initials.
Patterned letters can become part of the artwork on storybook covers and theatrical posters, especially beside similarly detailed drawings. It also fits boutique packaging and music merchandise. Designers working for whimsical, gothic, or circus-inspired audiences will find its ornament especially apt.
