Moneta is a free Gothic display typeface with a medieval carved quality, marked by angular strokes, narrow uprights, and round ornamental centers that give it a hand-cut, historical edge. The forms feel sturdy and irregular rather than polished, which makes the whole face read more like an old inscription than a standard alphabet.
Moneta works well for fantasy book covers, game titles, event posters, pub signage, and logo marks when you want a strong historical reference without heavy decoration. Description
This font is based on the lettering of early medieval and particularly Saxon hand-stamped coinage. It was specifically developed to assist medieval recreationist moneyers in visuallizing coin inscriptions. Some compromises were made to assist in modern usage.
