Author's note
Monoton by Vernon Adams is a free retro outlined display font with broad capitals drawn in repeated parallel lines. The interior of each letter resembles a tidy maze.
Large-scale posters are its clearest medium because the stripes can echo borders, rays, and geometric decoration, and the same look suits music packaging and event graphics. In branding, the letters can become a pattern or emblem rather than serving as neutral text.
