Author's note
Moria by Neale Davidson is a free runic display font with a stark, hand-cut appearance. Tall, narrow symbols use uneven tapered strokes, sharp forks, and open angular forms. Diamond shapes recur throughout the alphabet.
Rooted in fantasy and archaic imagery, it suits role-playing games, book covers, event posters, and themed merchandise. The symbols can become carved inscriptions, map markings, or heraldic emblems rather than serving only as ordinary lettering.

This was my first font. It was based on an old sheet of press-on letters called “Stonehenge,” but I renamed it Moria because a font with that name already existed. It has been available since 2002.
