Author's note

Mousedrawn by Lee Batchelor is a free handwritten display font with the direct look of lettering drawn in one quick pass. Its rounded, uneven strokes change width from letter to letter, and the loose proportions keep the line lively without turning messy. Several forms lean or swell unexpectedly.

Children's publishing is its strongest setting, especially for book covers and activity pages that benefit from friendly, plainly drawn lettering. The same informal shapes suit classroom posters, comic graphics, and playful packaging, but illustrated stories remain the clearest match because the letters look as if they belong to the artwork rather than a formal type system.
