Author's note

Nelson Old Newspaper by Cloutierfontes is a free old-school eroded display font with broad slab serifs, tightly packed capitals, and a blunt, ink-worn surface. Its uneven edges resemble type pulled from a battered press.

Designers working with vintage print themes can use it for newspaper mastheads, music posters, and heritage packaging, since the dense shapes carry the force of oversized wood type and reproduce the scuffed texture of old ink. It is especially suited to audiences drawn to flea-market graphics, archival ephemera, and rough Americana, where the lettering can function as part of the printed artifact rather than a clean contemporary label.
