Author's note

New York is a free distressed script font with tall, loosely drawn letters and a wiry monoline frame. Repeated sketch lines make each stroke look restless and slightly misregistered. The broad curves remain spare and open.

On posters and music packaging, its scuffed linear texture introduces the raw look of rehearsal-room notes or photocopied artwork. It also suits streetwear graphics and event flyers, especially for alternative music, skate culture, and other scenes built around rough handmade visuals.
