NEWEST by Billy Argel is a free eroded Western display font with broad, weighty slab-serif letters. Its blocky forms have blunt corners and a dense, poster-like silhouette. Rough chips and scattered scratches break across the strokes, giving the type a convincingly weathered surface.
The Western reference makes it a natural fit for saloon-themed event posters and frontier game graphics. It also suits rugged outdoor merchandise. That battered texture also fits whiskey packaging and country music artwork.
