Author's note

Nintendo DS BIOS by David Fens is a free pixel font with the crisp, low-resolution character of an early handheld system. Its lettering is light and unusually open, mixing tall rectangular forms with broad gaps and compact details that create an airy electronic rhythm.

It can turn game menus and title cards into convincing period interfaces. The same lean forms suit technology posters, gaming merchandise, and retro event graphics, especially when the lettering becomes part of a screen mockup or console illustration rather than a separate caption.

This font was used in the Nintendo DS BIOS. It was recreated because an original font file could not be found in some game sprite rips.

It was made with FontStruct, a free font maker.
