Author's note

Nobile, designed by Vernon Adams, is a free humanist sans serif with an open, understated drawing. Tall proportions and broad curves set an orderly silhouette, and gentle changes in stroke width keep the forms from looking mechanical. The round shapes feel calm and generous.

In publishing, it brings a clean but personable voice to magazine articles and book covers. Its measured construction also suits cultural branding, exhibition signage, and digital graphics for arts or education, where a severe geometric face could seem too cold. On an editorial cover, the broad circular forms can become a simple geometric element connecting the title to rules, cropped photographs, or blocks of imagery.
