Northwood High is a free eroded serif display font with ragged, ink-worn strokes and an unsettled handmade outline. Its uneven edges and sharp, stretched details suggest lettering weathered onto old wood or scraped from a printed sign.
A poster is its most convincing setting, especially for folk music, outdoor events, or dark theatrical productions. The distressed surface can also shape rustic packaging and merchandise, where the lettering feels physically worked rather than digitally clean. That woodcut-like abrasion ties the font to forest imagery, worn labels, and rough illustrated textures.
