Not Courier, designed by OSP's Ludivine Loiseau, is a free monospaced geometric sans serif with a distinctively light and open build and generous internal space. The letters are clean, spare, circular, and almost monoline.
Its typewriter roots point toward contemporary publishing and experimental graphic design rather than nostalgic imitation. The even advance and broad round forms suit magazine headings, exhibition catalogs, and cultural posters, where an orderly editorial texture can become part of the design. It also has a place in arts branding and event programs for audiences drawn to spare, thoughtful typography.
NotCourier was designed by OSP (Ludivine Loiseau), in July 2008. It is based on Nimbus Mono, copyright (URW)++,Copyright 1999 by (URW)++ Design & Development; Cyrillic glyphs added by Valek Filippov (C) 2001-2005
