Notorious, created by P. A. Vannucci in 2010, is a free horror movie display font with broad, swollen, uneven letterforms. Its heavy strokes bend and pinch unpredictably, leaving ragged inner joins and sharply tapered ends. Together, these shapes look deliberately hand-cut, unruly, and slightly grotesque.
A haunted-house poster is its clearest setting, since the warped silhouettes give a title immediate low-budget B-movie menace. Halloween graphics and horror games follow easily. On book covers or magazine features, the lettering can function as part of the unsettling artwork rather than neutral editorial type.
