Nutty Captain by Font Monkey of P.D. Magnus is a free handwritten display font with the broad, unruly gestures of marker lettering. Its rounded loops, blunt stroke ends, and uneven joins give the letters a loose cartoon quality. Stroke widths shift noticeably, and small dot-like details add a mischievous accent to the otherwise sweeping forms.
A children's activity book is an especially convincing setting, with the lettering also suited to comic posters and playful game graphics because it feels drawn as part of the artwork.
