Author's note

October Guard, a 2013 design from Iconian Fonts, is a free Russian-inspired display font with towering forms and a stern industrial silhouette. Broad verticals, abrupt cuts, and cramped inner spaces make the lettering look stamped from heavy metal.

It can create the look of a state poster or military title and also suits action-game graphics, record covers, and streetwear merchandise. The recurring Cyrillic-style reversals and angular cutouts tie those uses to propaganda-era graphics and severe machine imagery.
