Author's note

Old Typewriter Messy by Jason Mark is a free eroded typewriter display font with the battered, ink-heavy mood of an old ribbon and a machine that has seen years of use. The letters look blunt and familiar, but their edges break into furry, ragged patches that give the alphabet a dusty, misfired print texture instead of neat retro nostalgia.

That makes it a natural pick for pulp-inspired posters, zine covers, mystery title cards, record sleeves, and short editorial headlines where the rough impression does part of the storytelling. As a free font, it also fits labels, chapter openers, and monograms that need typewriter history with a dirtier, more worn-in voice.
