Author's note

Old Newspaper Types by M. Klein is a free distressed old-style serif font with the uneven pull of worn letterpress printing. Its broad, irregular letters shift between swollen curves and pinched joins, with rough edges and lively changes in stroke width.

Its newspaper roots suit period publishing and historical posters. The weathered shapes also suit pub branding, theatrical programs, and packaging built around an antique print theme. In a faux masthead or illustrated shop sign, the letters become part of the period scenery rather than mere naming.
