OlhoDePeixe by Matias Romero is a free high-contrast serif font with an eccentric, theatrical silhouette. Broad capitals mix stout slab-like serifs with sweeping curves, and smaller forms keep the same sharp shifts between dense strokes and fine lines.
It can play the role of custom show lettering on book covers and posters, with enough flourish to suggest wit or spectacle. The exaggerated curves and sturdy serif details also suit restaurant branding and packaging built around vintage signs or playful illustration.
