Author's note
OpenUp by xtempore of FontStruct is a free pixel font built from crisp, modular strokes and conspicuous breaks where many parts would usually connect. Its squared curves, long horizontal runs, and unevenly stepped corners recall an early computer display, but the open joins keep the lettering lighter and less blocky than many bitmap faces.
The segmented forms echo circuit traces and low-resolution interface graphics, making them useful for game menus, technology posters, and electronic music artwork. On product packaging or event signage, those repeated gaps can become part of a larger digital motif, linking the words to grids, icons, and simple geometric illustrations.
