Ornamental Initial is a free Gothic initials font, digitized in 2004 by M. Klein from a 1799 source. The letters lean into blackletter drama with looping flourishes, split strokes, and curling vine-like movement, so the alphabet feels more like a set of illuminated monograms than ordinary caps.
