Author's note

Orthotopes Italic, designed by Rob Barba of Megami Studios, is a free heavy italic display sans serif with broad, tightly packed letters, assertive weight, and a strongly forward-driving silhouette. Its softly rounded block forms, blunt corners, compact openings, and occasional angular cuts create a playful machine-made look, and slightly uneven joins stop the shapes from appearing strictly geometric.

Sports merchandise and children's packaging both suit its blunt, buoyant forms. Game title art and music posters make a different use of that construction, turning the letters into chunky graphic shapes for arcade, cartoon action, and futuristic racing themes with an exaggerated comic-book edge.

Description
Orthotopes is reminiscent of that ever-familiar 70's style sci-fi font whose name I cannot recall and probably doesn't look a thing like this anyway. ^_^;;;
