Outsider by Paintblack is a free cartoon display font with swollen, soft-edged letters and a decidedly odd silhouette. Deep notches, tiny round openings, and uneven widths make the forms look molded from rubber or cut from thick paper.
Its friendly bulk suits children's entertainment and quirky food packaging, yet the stranger letter shapes also fit surreal music posters. The rounded forms can echo blobs, bubbles, or simple character illustrations in game graphics and merchandise. It is most convincing when the lettering itself becomes part of the cartoon artwork.
