Author's note

Paint Hand by Ursula Hitz is a free rough brush display font with broad daubed strokes and an unmistakably handmade outline. The letters are chunky but uneven, with softened corners, ragged edges, and small flecks that resemble stray paint. Their shifting widths and slightly lopsided forms keep the lettering lively.

A poster for an art workshop is an especially good fit, since the type already looks brushed onto the surface. It also suits craft packaging, children's publishing, and casual event graphics, where a clean digital finish would feel out of place. The recurring splatters and worn edges can echo painted illustrations, handmade labels, or messy studio props.
