Author's note

Pamela by Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free medieval Gothic font with the dark, ceremonial air of classic blackletter. The letters pair tall, sharply cut forms with a bright inline and thin outer edging, while curled flourishes and pointed joins give the alphabet a formal, heraldic feel rather than a rough handmade one.

It works naturally for pub signs, festival posters, album titles, book covers, and certificate headings, where a free font with this much old-world ritual can carry the whole mood in a few letters. Pamela also fits monograms, chapter openers, and title cards, because the decorated caps have enough presence to hold short display settings on their own.
