Author's note

Pastel is a free eroded handwritten display font with loose, uneven letterforms, irregular spacing, and a dry, broken texture. Its strokes look scratched, ink-starved, and bluntly drawn at the edges.

Independent artists, DIY publishers, and underground music labels will find it useful for gig posters, album covers, merchandise, and rough-edged branding. The distressed surface connects those settings through a photocopied, hand-made look, and it can echo scuffed photography or grainy illustration instead of reading as flat, clean digital type.
