Author's note

Patron by Matej Hlavacek of VESTURBR FONTS is a free rounded slab serif with broad, sturdy letterforms. Soft curves and gently bracketed serifs temper the dense strokes, giving the type an approachable print-shop character.

Independent food and drink brands will find it well suited to packaging and cafe signage. Its substantial shapes also suit editorial covers and event posters, particularly when the message should feel direct but not severe. The rounded joins and blunt serifs can echo illustrated labels, stamped graphics, or friendly mascot artwork.
