Author's note

PatronAlt by Matej Hlavacek is a free heavy geometric sans serif with broad, blunt forms and an unmistakably utilitarian stance. Its nearly even strokes, squared ends, and roomy rounded shapes make the lettering look sturdy, but the single-storey forms keep it informal rather than corporate.

Posters are its clearest home, especially for cultural events, club nights, or independent music promotions that favor plain impact over ornament. It also suits packaging and merchandise with an industrial or street-level direction. On magazine covers, the blunt letterforms can become part of a forceful editorial voice, linking bold typography with photography or sharply cropped artwork.
