Petroleum by Jenna Mahaffy is a free distorted display font with blunt, uneven letters that seem squeezed, tilted, and cut into mismatched widths. Its silhouette lurches from one character to the next.
As a theatrical title treatment, it turns wording into a jagged graphic event suited to music posters, festival branding, and experimental magazine covers. The irregular forms can echo torn-paper collage or angular illustration, letting the lettering become part of the artwork rather than a neutral caption.
