Author's note

Phyllon by João Paulo Faraco is a free groovy display font with extremely tall, narrow letters, dramatic stroke contrast, and tightly drawn curves that recall fashion lettering from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Its rounded shoulders and razor-thin strokes keep the shapes fluid.

That retro fashion mood makes Phyllon a convincing choice for magazine covers, record packaging, and nightclub posters, especially in designs seeking elegant psychedelia rather than a rough counterculture look. It will appeal most to designers working with vintage fashion, glamorous music imagery, or boutique branding, since its towering silhouettes can become part of the decorative pattern rather than serving as neutral text.
