Author's note

Pigeon Street by S. John Ross of Cumberland Games is a free hand-drawn display font with crooked, inked letterforms. Uneven stroke widths and blunt, wavering edges give the writing the look of brush or marker work. The shapes are loose but substantial.

Its lopsided forms echo the outlines of cartoons, making the lettering a part of illustrated children's publishing and game packaging. That rough, comic quality also suits event posters and merchandise built around oddball characters. It is particularly convincing for lighthearted stories, neighborhood adventures, and offbeat comedy.
