Pilaca by Pier Paolo is a free techno display font with massive, squared letterforms and severe geometric cuts. Its broad strokes are interrupted by narrow slots and rectangular openings, giving the alphabet a machine-tooled appearance. Several shapes reduce curves to hard angles, and the tightly packed forms create a dense, futuristic strip.
Its retro-futurist character suits arcade branding, electronic music posters, and science-fiction game graphics, particularly when the lettering resembles a control-panel label or industrial insignia. The same engineered shapes also suit streetwear merchandise and technology event graphics, linking these uses through a shared taste for stark, mechanical lettering.
