Piring Hitam by Cenz Qobbal is a free retro display font with the tall, streamlined poise of classic early modernist lettering and signage. Narrow forms and rounded tops create a distinctly elegant architectural profile.
Poster design is its strongest use, especially for cultural events that can draw on the typeface's emphatic verticals, spare geometry, and clear echoes of historic Art Deco signage. The pronounced changes between fine and broad strokes also suit boutique branding, album covers, and magazine opening pages, where the letters can become part of borders, frames, and simple geometric period line illustration that repeats their long verticals.
