Pistache by Cloutier Fontes is a free cartoon display font with broad, soft-edged letters and an amiably uneven silhouette. The heavy strokes swell and pinch in unexpected places, much like lettering cut from pliable clay. Small, irregular openings puncture the dark forms and keep their silhouettes visually active.
A children's book cover is its most convincing setting, with snack packaging, party posters, and cheerful game graphics also making good use of its lumpy humor. The soft silhouettes can become shapes within playful character illustrations.
