Author's note

Pixeldust by Andreas Nylin is a free bitmap caps font with a blunt early-screen attitude. The letters are built from hard square blocks, but the effect is not merely retro game nostalgia - the repeated stepped corners and chunky gaps give it a dry, machine-made rhythm that feels closer to old desktop graphics and low-resolution interface lettering.

That makes it a natural pick for arcade posters, zine covers, pixel-art packaging, title cards, and short logo work where a free font can carry a deliberately digital mood. Use it when you want the caps to look cropped from a grid, especially for compact headlines or monograms that benefit from its rigid, block-by-block texture.
