Author's note

Plaisantin by Lauren Harrison is a free decorative display font with tall, loosely drawn capitals. Uneven outlines and ink-like blotches recall an eccentric hand-cut alphabet. The narrow forms feel theatrical and slightly antique.

Posters are its strongest setting, especially for fringe theater or cabaret events. The spindly silhouettes also suit book covers and album artwork with macabre or surreal illustration. On boutique packaging or merchandise, the irregular contours can become part of an illustrated label rather than serving as neutral text.
