Author's note

PlayingChildren by Manfred Klein is a free silhouette dingbat font built from lively scenes of children, animals, toys, and household objects. The figures have crisp, solid contours and an old-fashioned storybook air. Each symbol reads like a tiny narrative.

As illustrated emblems, the symbols suit children's book covers, classroom posters, and nursery decor because every figure suggests a story. Their cut-paper silhouettes can also form a memorable identity for toy shops and children's clothing labels.
