Author's note

Pochaevsk Caps UCS, developed by Nikita Simmons and adapted by Vladislav V. Dorosh, is a free Cyrillic font with a distinctly Church Slavonic, inscriptional mood. The letters mix tall, stately forms with sharp wedges, arched strokes, and a few calligraphic flourishes, so the font feels ceremonial rather than merely ornamental.

It sits naturally in liturgical covers, museum graphics, historical book jackets, title cards, and chapter openings where a free font can carry an Old Russian atmosphere without turning fussy. Use it for short headlines, monograms, or drop caps when you want the caps to suggest carved lettering and manuscript tradition at the same time.
