Author's note

Poetsen One, designed by Pablo Impallari and Rodrigo Fuenzalida, is a free rounded sans serif with a dense, bold, cheerful silhouette. Broad strokes and slightly uneven curves soften the letters.

The soft, swollen shapes echo simple cut-paper illustration, making the font a natural fit for children's book covers and playful food packaging. It also suits festival posters and casual merchandise, where the very compact forms can supply a friendly, handmade-looking title. In editorial design, its chunky curves can tie a cover line to colorful spot illustrations or bold flat graphics.

Description
Inspired by the hand painted signs in supermarkets, and the roman structures of the classical alphabets. Poetsen is a display font, but it's not just intended to be used on big 'straight to the eye' titles. Since it has a large x height, it can be used on short paragraphs in relatively small bodies of text too.
