Author's note

Pointout, designed by Manfred Klein for Classic Font Corporation, is a free abstract dingbat font built from stark, hand-drawn symbols. Its forms combine concentric coils, directional arrows, wavering lines, and sharp radial shapes with an experimental graphic-art sensibility. The strokes shift between loose curves and severe points.

Poster design is its clearest home, especially for music events or experimental exhibitions where the symbols can operate as emblems, markers, or fragments of illustration, and it also fits album packaging and game graphics. In editorial design, the varied signs can punctuate section openings or support articles about outsider art, visual codes, and unconventional communication.
