Author's note

Popping Popcorn, by Pearlygates, is a free popcorn-themed display font with a playful retro snack-bar mood. The letters are big, soft, and slightly lumpy, with rounded cutouts and a hand-drawn heft, while little popped kernels bouncing above the caps give the alphabet its unmistakable gimmick.

It fits naturally on party flyers, kids' event posters, cinema promos, candy packaging, and cheerful headline work where the lettering can act like illustration. As a free font, it also makes sense for title cards, menu headers, and short cover lines, because those popping kernels do a lot of the storytelling before any extra graphics are added.
